The Capital One® Standard Platinum Card - Interest Rates
The Capital One® Standard Platinum does have a 17.8% interest rate, but that is to be expected of a card for people with poor credit. It's important to remember that having no credit history is as detrimental than continually defaulting on credit card payments. So it is advisable to sign up for a credit card for the sole purpose of building a solid credit history. Though the card does have a high interest rate than other cards, building a good credit history can be the foundation to apply for a card with a lower rate.
Discounts and Rewards with the Capital One® Standard Platinum
One the best selling points about this card is 40% savings on featured products, and 10% savings on Yahoo! Shopping and other locations. The card also lives up to its "Platinum" name, offering services such as travel insurance, accident insurance, roadside assistance, and extended warranties.
