The Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa® is a consumer credit card that is designed for people who are looking for a comprehensive rewards program and who also have good to excellent credit. This credit card’s rewards program is set up like most credit card rewards programs, you earn one point per dollar spent. You can redeem these points for free nights at a hotel, airline tickets, car rentals and travel merchandise. There are a few restrictions tied to their rewards program including a 60,000 annual point cap and a five-year expiration rate.

Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa® - Interest Rates

There are several things that you need to know about the interest rates charged by Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa®. First of all they offer a zero percent introductory APR during the first 6 billing cycles you have your card. This is a fixed interest rate that is applicable to both regular purchase and to balance transfers. Once this APR has expired, your APR will increase to a variable rate of 14.24 percent for regular purchases and balance transfers and 24.24 percent for cash advances. The final thing that you should know about the interest rates charged by this card is that they use the “Two Cycles Average Daily Balance Method” for calculating interest charges. This is one of the most expensive methods used.

Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa® - Fees

In addition to interest, you will also be charged a few fees. You will be charged a late payment fee between $15 and $39 dollars, depending on your card’s balance, an over the limit fee of $35, a cash advance fee worth three percent of your transaction with a minimum charge of $10 and a balance transfer fee of three percent with a minimum charge of $5 and a maximum charge of $75. While there are several fees that this card does charge, you will not be charged an annual fee nor will you be charged for additional cardholders added to your card.
