Tips for Starting Your Own Business
Posted by: Allie P. | Jan 04,2008
Earlier this week we talked about how to do marketing and public relations for your business when you are starting out. A big part of starting your own business is the launch. The launch is the opening day, night or month for your business- the timing for the launch varies depends upon the type of business you have. A few ideas for making your business launch successful:
Look for free resources for your business launch online. Search under your business name + public relations or your business + the launch to find ideas for your opening.
Create your business plan with help from your local library. You’ll find dozens of books for the small business entrepreneur and some include free software or links to free software that walks you through launching your business, step by step.
If your business needs a website, you can find plenty of online websites that can help you create your website or will provide a website for you based on the specifics you provide. Make sure to consider customer service and how often the company servers crash in your decision. You can find consumer reviews for do-it-yourself websites online to help you find the right company for your business needs.
Compare and apply for business credit cards online. The rewards credit cards give you cash back or frequent flyer miles every time you use the card, and you often get additional rewards for using the card for business expenses.
