Starting Out: Best Places to Work
Posted by: Allie P. | Jan 13,2008
The best places to work in 2008 have a low unemployment rate and are seeing some job growth. When you’re starting out, the job market can seem pretty cruel. I have friends and family who have just graduated with expensive educations, only to find a pretty sorry job market. Forbes has put out their list of the best cities to find jobs in 2008. The best places to work this year include:
Salt Lake City, Utah, is one of the best cities to find jobs. The 2008 job market in SLC looks promising with a very low unemployment rate and a fairly low cost of living. And once you get used to how they set up their city streets, you’ll wonder why everyone else doesn’t set up their cities in the same way.
Wichita, Kansas also has a low unemployment rate and a really low cost of living, making it one of the best places to work. The job market in 2008 looks good in Wichita, with local news reporting that hiring will be steady in 2008.
We’ll keep talking about the best cities to find jobs in 2008 in upcoming blogs. Remember that when you’re just starting out, you can move anywhere to get a job. You can always move closer to home later on in your career. And everyone knows, no matter what the current job market, you can get the best-paying jobs when you’re willing- and able- to move around for jobs.
