When you’re starting out, you’re in the perfect position to use an airline rewards credit card to start racking up frequent flyer miles. The Gold Delta Skymiles® credit card can help you do just that. What you need to know about the Delta American Express rewards card:

The airline credit card gives you two miles for every dollar charged to the card for eligible purchases at gas stations, supermarkets, drug stores and more. You’ll also earn one mile for every dollar charged to the Delta American Express rewards card for other types of purchases.

You’ll receive 15,000 bonus miles after you use your Skymiles credit card the first time. Add another cardholder to your account and you’ll get another 2,500 bonus miles. And American Express is notorious for offering special deals and ways to earn extra points when you have one of their airline credit cards. After you get the Delta American Express rewards card, sign up online to receive their e-newsletters and you’ll see what I mean; every month they have some kind of special to help you earn even more rewards or ideas for creative ways to use your airline credit card.

The Skymiles credit card is fee-free for the first year and then charges an $85 annual fee. The regular APR for the airline credit card is 18.24%. You have to have a good credit history in order to qualify for the Delta American Express rewards card.

Review the terms of the Skymiles credit card and apply online or take a look at all of the airline credit cards to find the right one for you.
