Transfer High Interest Balances to the American Express Clear Card

You can transfer high interest credit card balances to the American Express Clear card to save money. I’m debating this month about which credit card to switch to; a low interest card and a rewards card are high on my list. But then, oh yes, there are cards specifically designed for balance transfers- so now I’m looking at those credit cards, too. Here’s the lowdown on the American Express Clear card:

This balance transfer credit card is a fee free card. The card does not charge annual fees, late fees, over the limit fees, cash advance fees or, hmmm, balance transfer fees. This is great because a lot of balance transfer credit cards offer low or zero interest to transfer a balance, yet charge a fee based on the amount of the debt being transferred. It’s truly a one of a kind, fee free card.

The American Express Clear card is also a unique rewards credit card. You’ll automatically get a $25 American Express gift card for every $2500 spent using the balance transfer card. In addition, the rewards credit card provides you with a free annual credit report and credit score each year.

The fee free American Express Clear card offers 0% APR for up to 12 months. Balance transfers received on the card application receive a 5.99% APR for the life of the balance. And the regular APR for purchases varies, but could run from 11.74% to 18.74% (depending upon your eligibility).
