Choosing Credit Cards Wisely
Posted by: Lisa N. | Jan 19,2008
Choose credit cards wisely to save money. From the beginning on this blog, I stated that credit was an inevitable part of our lives. I won’t waste your time debating whether credit cards and loans are good or bad; they’re an integral part of our lives, no matter how you feel about them. Use some caution when you’re comparing and applying for credit cards to find the best deal for you:
Always read the fine print before you apply for a credit card. Many credit cards offer special introductory promotional interest rates, but at some point they expire. Find out what the annual percentage rate (APR) will be once the introductory period expires and compare credit card offers online to find the best overall rate.
Before you apply for credit cards, shop around. Compare credit card offers to find cards that have no annual fee, or a low annual fee and a low interest rate. Online comparison websites make comparing credit card offers easy.
Don’t apply for several credit cards at once. When you apply for multiple lines of credit, it can negatively impact your credit score. Apply for the card you want, and then wait to see if you are approved before you apply for another credit card.
