Since I started writing the Credit Nightmares blog, I’ve become immersed in reading about credit horror stories. Some of the topics we’ve covered here include:

Debit and Credit Card Scams in the News: Letting you know about debit card and credit card scams in the news helps us all to be more aware and more vigilant about protecting our personal and financial information. The scams give us an idea of what phony phone calls, emails and letters we might expect to receive from identity thieves and scammers and what to do if we receive them. We’ll keep sharing information about scams in the news on the Credit Nightmares blog as we hear about them.

Real-life credit nightmares that happened to innocent people are a popular blog topic. Credit nightmares have included cases of mistaken identity and psychic scams, too.

Credit debt mistakes to avoid provide insight into handling debt with topics like creating a budget and talking to friends and family when you feel overwhelmed by your credit debt.

Tips to stay safe when you shop online have also been the focus of a lot of the posts on the Credit Nightmares blog. Safety tips include researching websites, learning more about website return policies and looking for website security symbols before you buy.

If you’ve got something in mind that you’d like to see on the Credit Nightmares blog, or if there’s a post that’s proved helpful to you, please let us know by commenting below.
